About Us
Modern Support Services, LLC provides individualized community and home based services such as Supported Living Services (SLS) and Independent Living Skills (ILS).
Our programs support individuals with significant psychological, emotional and physical challenges diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Seizure disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Schizophrenia, OCD, Bipolar, etc. in enhancing their quality of life by learning the skills needed to become independent and to maintain their independence within the community of their choice.
Modern Support Services provides instructions and supports in many different areas such as, home and community safety skills, cooking, shopping, cleaning, money management, etc. Our programs are taught using different teaching techniques based on the individual’s learning modalities and on the individual’s abilities and willingness to participate in the program.
Our staff receives continuous training and awareness on various different topics, such as, Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Diabetes, etc. We consider ourselves a "Do with" agency as opposed to "Do for". We believe that the only way an individual grows and gains true independence is to fully participate in their own lives and their own goals.
Modern Support Services believes that anyone can live independently within their own home or apartment given the right type of support, the right amount of support and the willingness of the participant. There is no such think as "can't". We believe that everyone deserves to be given the opportunity to live in the least restrictive environment regardless of their severity of their disability.
We do not believe in institutions. An institution is not just comprised of buildings, but it is a state of mind. Therefore, it is very important to give any and all opportunity to an individual who is willing to participate in his/her own life.
Modern Support Services employs a culturally diverse staff that are fluent in Spanish, Farsi, Armenian, Tagolog and Sign Language.
We provide services within Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
